Mysore University to hold KSET for Assistant Professorship on April 12

Mysuru/Mysore: The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Centre, University of Mysore (UoM), as a Nodal agency for Government of Karnataka, will be holding the Test on April 12, 2020 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professorship in various Universities, Colleges, Institutions of Higher Education (Government, Aided and Private) in Karnataka State. 

The notification in respect of KSET-2020 was announced on Feb. 1, 2020 in the KSET website: http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in giving all details such as eligibility criteria, scheme of examination, syllabus, previous question papers with key answers, instructions to candidates, how to apply and other registration details for online submission of application. 

The Test will be conducted in 41 subjects as per UGC guidelines and list of subjects is given in the website. The Test will be held at eleven Nodal Centres —  Bengaluru, Belagavi, Ballari, Vijayapura, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru. The exam fee for General category – Rs.1,150; Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – Rs.950; Category-I, SC,ST,PWD (VH,PH) – Rs. 650. Submission of online applications will commence from Feb.3. Last date for submission of online application without late fee is  Mar.4 and with a penalty of Rs. 250 is Mar.9.

Candidates can make online payment via State Bank MOPS (Multi Option Payment System) and for cash payment, after downloading the challan, cash can be paid at any SBI branches. After two days of payment, candidates can download the form, admission card and e-challan and they are not required to send / submit hard copies to the Nodal Centre. However, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the application form, admission card and e-challan for future reference, according to a press release from UoM Registrar.
