Mysore Varsity employee’s mutilated body found on Rly. track

Mysuru, Apr. 25 (RK&KS)- The Mysuru Railway Police have found the mutilated   body of an employee of the University of Mysuru (UoM) on the Railway track behind Maharaja’s College grounds here  this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Arunkumar (45), son of late Rajanna and a resident of Manchegowdanakoppal in city. He was given job on compassionate grounds in the UoM following the demise of his father.

Railway Police suspect that Arunkumar may have been run over by a train last night.

Railway Police Sub-Inspector Krishnamurthy and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the body to Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI) mortuary. The body would be handed over to his family after post-mortem.

Meanwhile, the Railway Police, who have registered a case in this regard, said that the death, whether due to accident, suicide or murder, would be known only after getting the post-mortem report.
