Mysore Varsity Ph.D awardees

Mysuru:  The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Geographical Information System to Giridhar V. Thayoor for his thesis ‘An assessment of the sewage system using GIS and remote sensing-case study at Hunsur Town,’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. Ramu.

G. R. Namratha has been awarded Ph.D in Library and Information Science by the UoM for her thesis ‘Reading interest and habit of medical students in Karnataka at changing information era: A study,’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. P. Sarasvathy.

M.B. Girish has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by the UoM for his thesis ‘Kannadada Makkala Natakagala Tathvika Nelegalu.’ [Guide: Dr. Akkamahadevi].

N.P. Mahesh has been awarded Ph.D in Commerce by the UoM for his thesis ‘An evaluation of health risk protection under Yeshasvini Health Insurance Scheme of Karnataka.’ [Guide: Dr. S. Venkatesh].

J.S. Chikkaswamy has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by the UoM for his thesis ‘Pu.Thi. Narasimhachar mattu Shivaramkarantara Geethanatakagala Toulanika Adhyayana.’ [Guide: Dr. K.N. Ganga Naik].

Mahadevaiah has been awarded Ph.D in Anthropology by the UoM for his thesis ‘ The impact of globalisation on the socio-economic life of tribes in South Karnataka.’ [Guide: Dr. N. Ningaiah].

S. Jagadeesh has been awarded Ph.D in Political Science for his thesis ‘Interface between public policy and reforms in India: A study of public and private sector banks in Karnataka study w.r.t.SMB and ICICI Bank.’ [Guide: Dr. Muzaffar Assadi].

Bangalore University Ph.D awardee

The Bangalore University has awarded Ph.D in Library and Information Science to N.R. Shilpa Rani for her thesis ‘ Cost benefit analysis of library consortia efforts with special reference to Bangalore,’ submitted under the guidance of  Dr. Lalitha Aswath.
