Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Ancient History and Archaeology to N. Chandrashekara for his thesis ‘Tirumakudalu Narasipura Talukina  Shaiva Devalayagalu — Ondu Vimarshathmaka Adhyayana’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. M.P. Mahadevaiah.

M. Shobha has been awarded Ph.D in Biotechnology by the UoM for her thesis ‘Diversity and Biological Activity of Root Endophytes of Medicinal Plants’ [Guide: Dr. H.S. Prakash].

G. Vinaya Rani has been awarded Ph.D in Biotechnology by the UoM for her thesis ‘Biological Control of Rhizome Rot and Leaf Blight Diseases of Turmeric’ [Guide: Dr. H.S. Prakash].

H.B. Manasa Priyadarshini has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by the UoM for her thesis titled ‘Arvias (RVS) Sundaram Avara Sahitya’ [Guide: Dr. B.P. Asha Kumari].

C.S. Madhu has been awarded Ph.D in Biochemistry by the UoM for his thesis ‘Isolation and Biological Evaluation of Chitin Specific Lectin from Praecitrullus Fistulosus’ [Guide: Dr. A.C. Sharada].

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has awarded Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering to M.G. Basavaraju for his thesis ‘Experimental Study on the Performance of Heat Pump System with Transcritical CO2 Refrigerant’ [Guide: Dr. K.V. Srinivasrao].
