Mysuru: Mysore Warriors stormed into the finals of Maharani Trophy KSCA T20 with a eight-wicket victory over Bengaluru Blasters at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru yesterday.
Delivering another dominant all-round performance, the Warriors outclassed Blasters with disciplined bowling and a composed batting display.
Winning the toss, Mysore Warriors elected to field first and executed their plans to perfection. Led by an inspired bowling effort, the Warriors restricted Blasters to 140/6 in 20 overs. J.H. Deeksha starred with the ball, claiming 3 wickets
to put the brakes on the opposition’s scoring and earned the Player of the Match award.
In reply, the Warriors chased down the target with ease, reaching 144/2 in just 17.5 overs. The batting unit displayed confidence and composure throughout the innings, building crucial partnerships and ensuring there were no major hiccups as they secured an impressive eight-wicket victory to seal their place in the finals.
Shubha Satheesh continued her exceptional run with the bat and retained the Orange Cap, taking her tournament tally to 310 runs, while Deeksha strengthened her hold on the Purple Cap, taking her overall tally to 11 wickets in the tournament.
Having qualified for the final with momentum firmly on their side, Mysore Warriors will now look to carry their winning form into the title clash as they aim to lift the coveted trophy.
