Mystery deepens as ‘kidnapped’ Kebab vendor remains missing

February 14, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: A roadside Kebab vendor has been allegedly kidnapped for warning eve teasers, near Gandhinagar Park in city. Besides, it is strongly suspected that the abductors may have done him to death, deepening the mystery as he continues to be missing even after 3 days of the incident that occurred on Sunday (Feb. 12).

Syed Mansoor, 32, resident of Gandhinagar and hailing from Kalyangiri in city, is the missing man. He was selling kebab on push cart near Gandhinagar Park. He was allegedly abducted on Sunday around 11.30 pm and with the blood stains found near the cart triggers suspicion that he may have been murdered by his abductors.

While the incident of a two-member gang kidnapping Mansoor has been caught on CCTV camera installed nearby, the eyewitnesses have told the Police that the miscreants stabbed Mansoor before abducting him. To corroborate this, the blood stains were found from near Gandhinagar Park to the gully behind J P Fortune Hotel and Mansoor is believed to have died due to severe bleeding.

In a complaint lodged at NR Police Station, Mansoor’s family members have stated that “Two youths who were standing near his (Mansoor) kebab shop were eve teasing the girls on the road. As Mansoor objected, the same youths kidnapped him.”

NR Police, who have registered a kidnap case for now, on one hand have launched a search for the body of Mansoor as they are also of the firm belief that he has been murdered. They are adducing at blood stains traced from the place of kidnap to a distance. On the other hand, Police have also launched a manhunt for the kidnappers.
