Mysurean among two commit suicide at Srirangapatna

Srirangapatna: In separate cases, a 45-year-old man from Mysuru is among two persons, who have ended their lives at Srirangapatna.

In the first case, Satish (45), a resident of Gokulam in Mysuru, has committed suicide by consuming poison at an agricultural field belonging to a farmer at Rampura village in the taluk. The reason for Satish to take the extreme step is yet to be known. Srirangapatna Rural Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.

In the second case, a 31-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping into the river from Wellesley Bridge in the town.

The deceased has been identified as Rakshitha, a resident of Mallegowdanakoppal in the taluk, who was given in marriage to Madhu of Mysuru.

Passersby, who saw her jumping from the bridge tried to rescue her but in vain. A case has been registered at Srirangapatna Town Police Station.
