Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. B. Nirmala, an Associate Professor and HoD of Hindi (Retd.), Poet, Writer, Social Activist, Senior NSS Officer and Cricketer, will represent India at the 3-day international conference and poets meet on World Hindi Day at Mauritius from Jan.8 to 14.
She will present her paper on ‘Social Media and Hindi’ at the seminar and will read out her 2 poems at the meet organised by Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Mauritius, Ministry of Education and Human Resource, Mauritius and High Commission of India.
Also she will receive “Vishva Hindi Setu Samman award” from Hindi Pracharini Sabha, Mauritius, on World Hindi Day.
Dr. Nirmala has presented papers and poems in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Dubai and won six world record awards in Hindi literature.
Daughter of late G.M. Battimallappa, IAAS (Indian Audit and Accounts Service) and Mallamma of Mysuru, she has rendered services in the field of education, NSS and Lions International too.
