About 12 kick-boxers from Team Genesis represented Karnataka in the recently held Kick-Boxing Federation of India National Championship out of which five of them won medals in various categories.
Basavesh (-67kg) and Anjali Gupta(-70kg) won gold medals. Kajal Naresh Kumar(-56kg) won silver. Zaina Ali Khan(-56kg) and Krishna Jaded(-75kg) won the bronze medal.
All the medal winners are trained under Samith Bhat. The championship was held at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna recently.
More than 1,100 athletes from 17 States participated in this event.
