Mysuru Bar Association suspends two advocates

Mysuru: The Mysuru Bar Association has suspended two members for misconduct.

The suspended members are advocates H.V.S. Murthy and Shivanna. The two were accused of forcefully taking the Association’s office keys on July 6 in the absence of the Association President, Vice-President and Secretary.

Following a written complaint by the office staff Nagesh stating that the two had taken away the keys and that he (Nagesh) could not be held responsible for stamps, cheque book and other documents, the Bar Association suspended the two advocates.

The Bar Association which issued a notice to the two advocates as per rule 45C of the association in by-law asking why their members not be terminated, resolved to suspend the two members pending enquiry.
