Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Kiranmayee Muralidhar, Dr. Devanshi Somaiya, Dr. Purnima Madhivanan, Poornima Jaykrishna, Anisa Khan and Dr. Raghavi Karnam of city-based NGO, Public Health Research Institute of India (PHRII), Mysuru, presented their work on HPV Screening at the 37th International Papillomavirus Conference held in Bangkok, Thailand, recently.
This year’s theme was ‘Research toward the global elimination of HPV-related diseases and cancers.’ The Conference drew over 1,400 scientists, students and leadership from NGOs, Government and the private sector from 104 countries to share strategies for prevention of HPV infection and their associated diseases, especially cervical cancer.
A total of three posters were presented from PHRII and the team conducted a workshop on ‘Individual and Social Determinants of Health Behaviour Modifications to Advance Cervical Cancer Prevention.’
