Mysuru, Oct. 26 – Mysuru-born Aishwarya Sunaad serves as the Head of Concept Development and Research at Civinc, where her contribution to the mobile app has been instrumental.
In building Civinc — India’s first Digital Public Good (DPG) aimed at making the country’s non-metro cities technologically empowered by digitising their civic data at zero cost — Aishwarya drew on the research of Nobel Laureate Dr. Abhijit Banerjee to conceptualise the intervention.
A research scholar at the University of Oxford, Aishwarya previously studied Sociology and Anthropology at Ashoka University. Her work traverses disciplines, spanning anthropological research, social impact initiatives and the venture capital & startup incubation space.
Her interests lie in innovating technology for social impact and governance, rural livelihood development, education and building businesses that address under-represented markets, having launched her first business at the age of 18. She also writes reportage and literary non-fiction as an extension of her research. Born and raised in Mysuru, Aishwarya moved to Delhi for her undergraduate studies. She is the daughter of writer Sunaad Raghuram and entrepreneur Geetha Ramakrishna, residents of Kuvempunagar in Mysuru.
