Mysuru City Police website hacked

Mysuru: Miscreants have hacked into the Mysuru City Police website on Sunday morning and posted anti-national slogans. The official website of the Mysuru City Police http:mysorecitypolice.gov.in was hacked and they have insulted the National Flag by posting on the wall — ‘Mysuru City Police-Government of India hacked-Mister. Nitrogen team PCE, Pakistan Zindabad.’

The Police, who noticed the hacking of the website, immediately got the offending words and pictures removed from the website with the help of experts. The website of the District Superintendent of Police had also been hacked in November 2017.

Fearing the possible leak of classified information, all the computers in the Department was shut-down till yesterday afternoon. Later, after the hacking was removed, new password was issued and computers  restarted.

City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao, reacting to the incident, said that the hacking of computers by the miscreants in the Police Department had been brought to his notice and he would see that suitable action is taken against the perpetrators of the crime. “Already hacking has been removed and steps taken to see that classified information have not been leaked,” he said.
