Mysuru: The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Mysuru District Committee and Sri. K. Puttaswamy First Grade College, will be hosting Mysuru Divisional-level Rovers and Rangers Convention at H. Kempegowda Indoor Stadium of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering in Gokulam 3rd Stage in city tomorrow (Mar. 7).

Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka Chief Commissioner P.G.R. Sindhia will inaugurate the convention at 8.30 am in the presence of Kannada actor Suresh Heblikar, who is also the Founder of Eco-Watch NGO.

Sindhia will also deliver the valedictory address of the event at 4 pm. Scouts and Guides District Chief Commissioner P. Vishwanath will preside.

Women’s Day on Mar. 8:  The Karnataka Scouts and Guides will be celebrating International Women’s Day at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering premises in  Gokulam on Mar. 8.

Scouts & Guides District  Chief Commissioner Vishwanath, who is also a former Mysuru Mayor, will inaugurate the event at 9 am. P.G.R. Sindhia, Mangaluru’s Yenepoya University VC Dr. Vijaykumar, District Treasurer of Scouts and Guides K.B. Gurumurthy, former Mysuru Dy. Mayor Pushpavalli and others will be chief guests. The valedictory will take place at 3 pm in the presence of Suttur Mutt Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.

Former ISRO Scientist T.K. Anuradha will be felicitated. On the occasion, there will be quiz, debate, mehendi and rangoli contests for women.
