Mysuru lad figures in PM’s Mann Ki Baat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon the citizens of the country to follow the example set by Mysuru-based Santosh in cashless digital payments.

During his 29th Mann Ki Baat programme aired on Sunday, Modi said that the country is moving towards digital economy and apps are helping the common man connect with digitalisation.

Pointing out that the Lucky Grahak Yojana scheme was introduced to promote cashless digital payments, where 15,000 people based on lucky draws are rewarded with a cash prize daily, Modi mentioned that Santosh, a resident of Mysuru has been rewarded under the scheme.

Modi further said that Santosh had displayed humanity by donating the Rs. 1,000 cash prize to a woman named Bhagyamma of Kumbarakoppal, who lost her house in a fire mishap caused due to a gas leak on Feb.2.

Santosh is the son of P.R. Prem Kumar Patange of Tilak Nagar who owns engine oil and lubricants shop in the city.
