Mysuru Literary Fest on Oct. 19

Mysuru:  The third edition of Mysuru Literary Fest-2019 will be held on Oct.19 at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri, said Mysore Literary Association President Prof. K.C. Belliappa. 

Addressing the press persons at the Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, he said the Literary Fest would be inaugurated by Poet and Short Story Writer Keki N. Daruwalla, who is also a former IPS Officer, at 10 am. This will be followed by a talk by eminent writer Anita Nair at 11.30 am.

Sachidananda Murthy, Resident Editor, ‘The Week’ will speak on ‘Literature and Social Media’ at 12.30 pm; Wisden India Almanack Editor Suresh Menon on ‘Literature and Sport: An Eternal Golden Braid’ at 2.30 pm. The fest will  conclude with Translator and English Professor Vanamala Viswanatha speaking on ‘Why read a Kannada Classic: Reading Harishchandra Kavyam’ at 3.15 pm.
