Even before the elections are yet to take place for the 65-member Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), the State Government has announced the reservation matrix for Mayoral posts in 10 City Corporations, including Mysuru. According to the matrix, the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor posts in the Mysuru Cit6y Corporation has been reserved for General Category women. The reservation matrix has also been announced for nine other City Corporations of Ballari, Belagavi, Davangere, Hubballi-Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Vijayapura  and Tumakuru.
