Five MMA youth athletes of the Academy of Martial Science (AMS), Mysuru, have been selected to represent India at the 2023 IMMAF Youth World Championships scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi at Mubadala Arena, Zayed Sports City, between Aug. 2 and 5.
The athletes will be a part of 29-member Indian contingent participating under the aegis of MMA India drawn from various States.
They are all trained at the AMS by Coaches Kiran, Samarth and Kavya and mentored by MMA India Head Coach and IMMAF Youth Commission Member Kru Vikram. Kru. Vikram will also be the Head Coach and team leader for Indian Team. Over 600 athletes from over 45 countries are expected to participate.
The team: 1. R. Namrata (12 Years, Youth C -48kgs); 2. H.R. Theeksha Bharuni (13 years, Youth C -52 kgs); 3. N. Aryan Raj (14 years, Youth B -52 kgs); 4. J. Ashwin (14 years, Youth B -72 kgs); 5. G.S. Dattatreya (14 years, Youth B -77 kgs).
