Mysuru Music University resorts to online classes

Mysore/Mysuru: Following the orders from University Grants Commission (UGC) and Higher Education Department regarding students’ education during the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown period, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University in Mysuru has already started online classes (Zoom App, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and others) and will be completing the pending syllabus by the first week of May.

Music University VC Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote held a meeting in this regard with all teaching staff using Zoom App on Apr. 7 and instructed them to take online classes and complete the syllabus on time.

After discussing the pros and cons of conducting online classes and taking information about the ongoing online classes, the VC directed to conduct all the internal exams of the current semester online.

Urging all the students to make use of online classes, the VC also requested everyone to join hands with the Government in the fight against the pandemic.
