Mysuru Rail Museum to conduct drawing and painting contests

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Rail Museum will observe World Environment Day on May 31 by organising a Drawing and Painting Competition for school children with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging sustainable practices among young minds.

The competition will be held at the Mysuru Rail Museum premises from 10.30 am to 1 pm.

The theme for the competition is “Green Railways for an Energy Secure Future.” The event will be conducted in three age-group categories, and separate sub-themes for each category will be provided by the Rail Museum.

Students may collect their respective sub-theme details from the Rail Museum during working hours. The sub-theme information can also be obtained through email or WhatsApp.

The Rail Museum will provide drawing sheets for all participants, while students are required to bring their own drawing and painting materials such as pencils, colours, brushes and related items.

School children are eligible to participate in the competition. Participants are requested to report at the venue by 10.15 am. for registration and seat allocation and are advised to carry a valid school identity card or proof of age. Guardians and teachers may accompany the participants and follow museum guidelines during the event.

Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges and certificates and prizes will be                                                    awarded to winners in each age category.
