‘Mysuru Saṃvāda’ dialogue series to begin tomorrow with Dr. Gururaj Karajagi

Mysore/Mysuru: A new initiative titled ‘Mysuru Saṃvāda,’ aimed at reviving the tradition of thoughtful public dialogue on culture, knowledge and contemporary issues, will be inaugurated at BSS Vidyodaya in Krishnamurthypuram here tomorrow  (Mar. 15) at 10 am.

Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions Chairman R. Vasudeva Bhat and SVYM Chief Executive S. Savitha will be the chief guests. Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM)  Deputy CEO S. Praveen Kumar will preside.

The inaugural Saṃvāda will feature noted educationist and thinker Dr. Gururaj Karajagi.

The theme of the first conversation is ‘From Gurukula to Generative AI – The Future of Education in India.’

Earlier in the day, Dr. Karajagi will deliver a special lecture titled ‘From a Teacher to a Guru – The Journey of an Educator.’ This morning session is a joint programme of Vivekananda Teacher Training and Research Institute (VTTRC), a unit of SVYM and BSS Vidyodaya, supported by DVG Balaga Prathisthana and Future Teachers of India Fellowship.

Inspired by India’s long-standing civilisational tradition of saṃvāda — meaningful dialogue through respectful debate and reflection — the initiative seeks to create a forum where scholars, thinkers, practitioners and members of the public can engage in conversations on the many dimensions of Indian culture, knowledge systems, values and the questions of the present times.
