Mysuru: A team of officials led by Mysuru SP Mallikarjun Baladandi, who is also the Deputy Special Officer for Yuva Dasara Sub-Committee, inspected the 100-acre land near Uttanahalli Road, which has been hosting Yuva Dasara for past two years, on Wednesday.
The officials checked on various parameters including security aspects, organising the events, parking facilities etc.
SP Baladandi briefed the officials regarding the measures to be initiated to ensure safety of the crowd, who come from various parts of Mysuru and surrounding districts to watch Yuva Dasara.
Speaking to mediapersons, Mallikarjun Baladandi, said that as a large number of youths are expected to visit Yuva Dasara, we will initiate measures to prevent any untoward incident.
“Measures will be taken to prevent commotion and ensure smooth conduct of the event by celebrity artistes. Priority will be given for the safety of women at the venue with all precautionary measures in place,” he added.
This year, the 11-day Dasara festival will be held from Oct. 11 to 21. However, the District Administration is yet to announce the dates for Yuva Dasara.
