Mysuru: Teresian College, Siddarthanagar, Mysuru, recently hosted “Connecting Minds: Mysuru-Sri Lanka Student Exchange Programme” at its Ave Maria Golden Jubilee Auditorium.
The programme, aimed at promoting friendship, cultural understanding and meaningful interaction between students of Karnataka and Sri Lanka, was organised by the Departments of Humanities and Youth Red Cross Unit (YRC) in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Teresian College.
The exchange programme brought together 18 Sri Lankan students and 2 representatives from Sri Lanka, providing an opportunity for students to interact, share their cultural experiences and understand the similarities and diversity between the two neighbouring countries.
The chief guests included B.M. Ranil, Assistant Director, National Youth Service Council, Sri Lanka; Nishanthi Arulmozhi, Officer, National Youth Service Council, Sri Lanka; Rtn. Dr. M.P. Varsha, President of Credit-i, Rotary Seva Mysore, OISCA and URI; Dr. Diwakar Chandy, Nodal Officer, Youth Red Cross, University of Mysore; Bhaskar Naik, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Mysuru; and Rtn. Dr. V.S. Shan Bhogue, Advocate and CSR Consultant.
Also present were Dr. Sr. Prafula, Director; Dr. Sr. Rohini, Principal; Sr. Anjali, Manager; and Vivek Charles, IQAC Co-ordinator.
The programme carried the inspiring message: “Together for a Global Tomorrow,” emphasising the role of young people in building a more connected, peaceful and culturally sensitive world.
The Mysuru-Sri Lanka Student Exchange Programme served as a meaningful platform for connecting minds, sharing cultures and strengthening bonds of friendship between the youth of India and Sri Lanka.
