The Under-14 team of Vijayanagar Football Academy (VFA), Mysuru, become the first football Academy from Mysuru to qualify for the playoff of Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) Youth Premier League 2021-22 which was held in Bengaluru recently.

With 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss at the Group stage, VFA, Mysuru, finished joint second with Bangalore City FC.

After a setback in the first match in which they lost to 7-1 Boca Academy, Bengaluru, VFA, Mysuru, beat Barca Academy, Bengaluru, with a dominating 4-0 performance. In the next match, VFA, Mysuru, beat GRK Academy, Bengaluru, in which the scorecard read 17-1. In their final Group game, VFA drew with Bangalore City FC 3-3.

Playoff

In the playoff yesterday, Vijayanagar Football Academy, Mysuru, though put up a spirited performance, lost to Bangalore City FC 0-4.
