Mysuru TP Member booked for attempt to murder

Based on a complaint filed by Srirampura Gram Panchayat (GP) Mahadeva Nayaka, Vidyaranyapuram Police have registered an attempt to murder case against Hanumanthu, Member of the Taluk Panchayat (TP) representing Srirampura constituency, after a Facebook conversation over Waste Management in Srirampura GP triggered rivalry.

Mahadeva Nayaka, in his complaint, has alleged that Hanumanthu, on Wednesday tried to kill him by running his (Hanumanthu) car (KA-09 MB-7365) over his (Mahadeva Nayaka) bike (KA-55 E-317) near the corner of the toll gate on Manandawadi Road besides verbally abusing him, when he (Mahadeva Nayaka) along with his fiancée were on their way to a house in Srirampura.

It is said that Mahadeva Nayaka had accused Srirampura Gram Panchayat President of failing to properly implement Waste Management on his Facebook page which resulted in many blaming the GP President for the same.

Hanumanthu rubbishes allegations: Rubbishing the allegations of attempt to murder filed by Mahadeva Nayaka, the accused Hanumanthu has claimed that he was only overtaking a bike and did not even notice who was riding that bike.

Stating that he would not stoop to such low level of killing a person, Hanumanthu alleged that it was Mahadeva Nayaka who stopped his bike in front of his car and hurled abuses at him.
