Mysore/Mysuru: In order to clear the extra rush of passengers during Sankranti festival season, South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run two special express trains between Mysuru and Tuticorin.
Train No. 06283 Mysuru – Tuticorin Express Special will depart from Mysuru at 18.35 hrs on Jan.9 and 13 (Friday and Tuesday) and will arrive at Tuticorin at 11 hrs the following day.
Train No. 06284 Tuticorin – Mysuru Express Special will depart from Tuticorin at 14 hrs on Jan. 10 and 14 (Saturday and Wednesday) and arrive at Mysuru at 7.45 hrs the following day.
This train will consist of 19 coaches, including 3 AC Two Tier, 6 AC Three-Tier, 8 Sleeper Class and SLR/D (2) coaches.
En route, both trains will have stoppages at Mandya, Maddur, Channapatna, Ramanagaram, Kengeri, KSR Bengaluru, Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem Jn, Namakkal, Karur Jn, Dindigul Jn, Madurai Jn, Virudunagar Jn, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tuti Melur, stations in both directions. Passengers are requested to make note of these special train services and plan their journey accordingly, stated a press release from Girish Dharmaraj Kalagonda, Divisional Commercial Manager and PRO, SWR Mysuru Division.
