The following Mysuru Players excelled in the First B.K. Narayana Rao Memorial Veteran’s Ranking TT Tournament organised by KVTTC on July 7 and 8 at Malleshwaram Association TT Hall in Bengaluru:
- Dr. Sainath Iyer – Gold for the third time in a row this season in Men Singles in 75 + age group.
- K.V. Krishnamurthy – Silver in the same event.
- Rajen Kothari – Silver in Men Singles 60+ age group.
- In Women Singles 50+age Group-B, Sushila Pillay (Mysuru) and Pradnya and Suguna of Bengaluru tied with same League Ranking points but Pradnya pipped Sushila for the first place in differential points and went into semifinals.
Bhavna Harne (Bengaluru) won Gold and Nagaratna (Bengaluru) the Silver in the event. Pradnya was also awarded the ‘Rising Star Award.’
Next Veteran Ranking TT will be held on Aug.11 and 12 in Kosmos Club, Dharwad.
