Mysuru Zilla Panchayat President’s car driver hacked to death

H.D. Kote: The driver of Mysuru Zilla Panchayat (ZP) President was hacked to death by a tender coconut seller at Antharasanthe village in H.D. Kote taluk last night. 

The deceased is Sunil (28), a resident of Antharasanthe. He was standing near the bakery at about 8 pm yesterday, when 43-year-old Ravi, a tender coconut seller, suddenly attacked him with a machete. The seriously injured Sunil was rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru, where he succumbed to injuries, according to the Police, who have arrested accused Ravi. Illicit relationship was the reason behind the murder, according to preliminary investigation, the Police added. 

Circle Inspector Puttaswamy, Beechanahalli Sub-Inspector Ramachandra Nayak, H.D. Kote Sub-Inspector M. Nayak and staff visited the spot. A case has been registered at Beechanahalli Police Station.
