Mysuru Zoo Tigress falls sick

Mysore/Mysuru: Tigress Tayamma, the four-year-and-10-month-old tigress at Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens (Mysuru Zoo) has fallen sick and is being treated by the veterinarians. The tigress was rescued in Bandipur on Mar. 28, 2021 and is housed in Mysuru Zoo since then.

Zoo Executive Director (ED) P. Anusha told Star of Mysore today that the tigress has developed fever and has stopped consuming food. Intravenous (IV) fluids are being administered and the tigress is put on antibiotics. Tigress is being continuously monitored by Zoo Veterinarians, the Zoo ED stated.
