Mysuru’s Prof. Mahadeva appointed as second VC of ASBM University

Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. Mahadeva of Mysuru has been appointed as the second Vice-Chancellor (VC) of ASBM University at Bhubaneswar by the President of the University Prof.  Biswajeet Pattanayak.

On the recommendation of the Search Committee and the Board of Governors of the University, Prof. Mahadeva has been appointed as the new VC from Oct. 4, 2022.

Mahadeva is a M. Phil and Ph.D holder in English from the JNU, New Delhi. He has more than three decades of experience in teaching and research at the University of Mysore (UoM) and has served as an English Professor for 21 years.

Fourteen scholars have been awarded Ph.D under his guidance. With several publications to his credit, Prof. Mahadeva is known for his contribution to holocaust literature in English and Kannada.

He has worked as a Syndicate Member, Dean, Head of the Department, Chairman of the Board of Studies and Academic Council Member.

He has been a Visiting Professor at Delhi University, Karnataka University, Bangalore University and Manipur University.
