N. Bettaiah (96), a resident of Agrahara in the city, passed away here yesterday.
He was the Founder-President of Mysuru-Chamarajanagar District Vokkaligara Sangha and had served as the President of Hattoo Janagala Eswhara Garadi located on Hullina Beedi in the city.
He leaves behind his son B. Ramachandra, a businessman, daughters Umadevi, Rukmini and Hemavathi and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be held at Jayanagar burial grounds later today.
