City lad N. Bharath, who bagged first place in 5,000 metres running race and second place in 1,500 metres (U-20 category) in the District-level Athletics Meet conducted by Mysore District Athletics Association (MDAA) at Chamundi Vihar here recently, has been selected for State-level Athletics Tournament.

A first year B.Com student of  MIT College, Bharath, son of Nagendra and Hema, belongs to the family of Ustad D. Elakki Gowda and Yajman Venkatesh Gowda of K.G. Koppal. He has secured many prizes in Athletics since his childhood.
