NAAC Peer Team visits Sarada Vilas College in city

Mysore/Mysuru: National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Peer team visited Sarada Vilas College, Krishnamurthyupram in the city recently.

 The Peer team comprised Chairman of NAAC Prof. Surendra Prathap Singh, Member  (Coordinator) Dr. Arun Ingale and Member Dr. Paul Dhayabaran, to assess the performance of the institution for the fourth cycle.

The team was accorded a traditional Poorna Kumbha welcome along with chanting of vedic hymns,  on its arrival.

Secretary of the Institution, Principal, IQAC Coordinator, Governing Council Members and faculty were present.

It was followed by the guard of honour with a rifle salute by NCC cadets of the College.

The process of assessment began with an in-depth interaction with the Principal of the College Dr. M. Devika.  She presented a bird’s eye view of the College’s performance for five years from 2017-22.  The team had meetings with IQAC coordinator, Suganthi S. Singh.

The NAAC team visited a few Departments of the institution and interacted with the faculty regarding curriculum and teaching/  learning process.

The team also held interactions with teaching and non-teaching staff, alumni, parents and students, apart from visiting the Departments concerned.

 The cultural programmes were held  in the evening of first day visit.

Second Day: On the second day, NAAC Peer team visited a few other Departments, verified documentary evidences and prepared the report.

An exit meeting with faculty members was held in the evening, preceded by the                              photo session.

Chairperson of NAAC Team Prof. Surendra Prathap Singh handed over the report to the Principal in the exit meeting.

Citing examples, the Chairperson guided and suggested the Principal regarding the development of the College.
