Mysore/Mysuru: Deendayal Anthyodaya Yojana-National Urban Livelihoods Mission is implemented by the Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka.
Under this Mission, women Self Help Groups (SHGs) are formed and revolving fund given to them. Bank linkage is also provided for economic empowerment of women and income generation ventures are established under the Mission. At present, 14,762 SHGs are formed in the State.
To create a market platform and network for women SHG products, a State-level Nagara Samrudhi Mela-2020, an exhibition-cum-sale has been organised from Feb.28 to Mar.8 between 10 am and 9 pm at JSS Urban Haat, Hebbal Industrial area, Ring Road, Mysuru.
About 50 SHGs from Karnataka will be displaying Handicrafts, Handloom, Cotton and Silk products, Hand Embroidery items, Toys, Ready-made Garments, Leather items, Homemade Products, Uttara Karnataka Food Products, Jute Bags, Artificial Jewellery, Copper items, Cardamom Pearls Garland, Foot wears, Home decorative items and a lot more.
The expo will be inaugurated tomorrow at 2 pm by District Minister V. Somanna. Entry is free for all with ample space for vehicle parking.
