The Sector Magistrates have to record the political rallies, campaigns and other meetings held in their respective areas and report the same to the DC on daily basis. They will also have the responsibility of filing complaints against those distributing money and gifts to the voters and also against people making promises.
They will have to check the polling booths before the voting and submit a report to District Electoral Officer.
Also, on the eve of the polling, they have been directed to act as Route Officers.
