Bengaluru: Vaibhavi Theatre owner M. Narasimhulu has been elected as President of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) during the elections held at Gururaja Kalyana Mantap, here.
This year, the Presidency was reserved for the exhibitor’s sector, resulting in a close contest between R. Sundar Raj, owner of Vajreshwari Cinema and Narasimhalu. Finally, Narasimhalu was elected as the KFCC President with a comfortable majority.
Out of the 128 candidates from the producer, distributor and exhibitor sectors, 24 were elected unopposed. The newly elected office-bearers are:
President: M. Narasimhalu; Vice-President (Producers’ Sector): K.V. Venkatesh; Vice- President (Distributors’ Sector): Shilpa Srinivas; Vice-President (Exhibitors’ Sector): Rangappa; Honorary Secretary (Producers’ Sector): D.K. Ramakrishna; Honorary Secretary (Distributors’ Sector): M.N. Kumar; Honorary Secretary (Exhibitors’ Sector): L.C. Kushal and Treasurer: Mahadev (Chingari).
