Mysore/Mysuru: To strengthen access to advanced digestive and gastrointestinal cancer care in the region, Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Mysuru, has launched its Narayana Centre of Excellence in Digestive & GI Oncology, bringing together Medical Gastroenterology, Surgical Gastroenterology and Oncology Services under one roof.

Addressing a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city recently, Dr. Pavan Kumar Paramatmuni, Facility Director, Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, said: “Many patients travel to Bengaluru for digestive care. Today, we are equipped to provide complete Digestive & GI Cancer Care with 24×7 multispeciality support in Mysuru. According to recent data presented in Parliament based on estimates from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and National Cancer Registry Programme (NCRP), India’s estimated cancer incidence is projected to reach nearly 15.7 lakh cases in 2025, reflecting a steady rise over recent years.
