Natarajothsava-2019: Benediction to Cosmic Dancer Nataraja

Natarajothsava-2019, a three-day National-level Classical Dance Festival of Young Male and Couple Dancers, has been organised by Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre (VPAC) from Mar.28 to 30 at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road.

VPAC has been successfully conducting this festival from last 32 years; aspiring Indian classical dancers have been given a platform to showcase their talent through this festival.

This festival is conducted in such a way that the artistes are selected by experts committee and every artiste performs on live orchestra only. This makes an important factor in preserving our legacy and culture in its traditional way. The entry to festival is free.

Mar.28 – 6 pm: Music University VC Prof. Nagesh V. Bettakote will inaugurate the event. Karnataka Muktaka Academy Trust President Prof. S. Ramprasad and Orthopaedic Surgeon Consultant Dr. J.S. Hegde will be the chief guests. VPAC President K.V. Murthy will preside; 6.30 pm: Unnath Jain from Hassan will present Bharatanatyam; 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Odissi by Sunil Kumar Behera.

Mar.29 – 6.30 pm: Odissi Duet by Chittaranjan Pradhan and Mita Das from Bhubaneshwar; 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Bharatanatyam by Vid. Ananda Satchitananda from Mumbai,

Mar.30 – 6.30 pm: Kuchipudi by Vid. Surya N. Rao from Bengaluru; 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Kuchipudi – Bhamakalapam by Vid. Sujay Shanbhag from Hubballi.
