National conference on ‘ICT in Education’ from May 11

Mysuru: Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) has organised a two-day National Conference on ‘ICT in Education: Perspectives, Practices and Possibilities’ from May 11 at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait will inaugurate the conference at 9.30 am.

Chairman of Karnataka Knowledge Commission and former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Dr. K. Kasturirangan, who will be the chief guest, will deliver the keynote address.

Chairman of ISRO A.S. Kiran Kumar, who will be the guest of honour, will release the souvenir. Secretary General of Vijnana Bharati A. Jayakumar will be the special invitee. Founder-President of SVYM Dr. R. Balasubramaniam will preside.

The valedictory of the National Conference will be held on May 12 at Senate Bhavan between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm.

State Chief Secretary Dr. Subhash Chandra Khuntia will be the chief guest. Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Primary and Secondary Education Ajay Seth, former UGC Chairman Prof. V.N. Rajasekharan Pillai and Chief Executive Officer of SVYM Dr. (Flt. Lt.) M.A. Balasubramanya will be the guests of honour.
