National De-worming Day with an aim to eradicate intestinal worms among children in the age group of 1 to 19 years is observed throughout the country on Aug. 10 and on Aug. 17 every year.
On Aug. 10 at 11 am, District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar will distribute de-worming tablets to children and launch the programme organised at Maharaja Government PU College on JLB Road in city.
