National-level short film contest in April

Mysuru: The Department of Visual Communication, Amrita School of Arts and Science, Mysuru, has organised ‘Cinerama-2018,’ a national-level short film contest at its premises in city on Apr. 11 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Also, a workshop on ‘Film Appreciation’ by eminent resource persons and one-stop snap shot photo caption contest will also be held.

The contest is being held to provide students a platform to showcase their creative talent and skill in short film making, provide an opportunity to interact with professionals from the film industry and exposure to students in short film making.

A minimum of two and a maximum of five students from each college can form a team and there are no restrictions on the number of teams per college.

Maximum duration of the short film should be 20 minutes and the language of the short film may be either in English or any regional language with English subtitles. Story should be original.

Cash awards of Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 7,500 will be given to the first three winners.
