National Lok Adalat on Sept.14

As per the directions of the National Legal Services Authority and State Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat will be held in the District Courts Complex in city and all other Courts in the district on Sept. 14. According to Senior Civil Judge B.G. Dinesh, who is also the Member-Secretary of Mysuru District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), there are 1,17,013 pending cases in Mysuru City and Taluk Courts of the district, out of which 58,030 are civil suits and 58,983 criminal cases.  Pointing out that more than 30,000 of these cases have been identified for settlement through compromise  between the litigants, he said that pre-litigation cases can be settled through mutual consent in the Lok Adalat.
