Mysuru: A National seminar on “Swami Vivekananda’s approach to Humanism – A Philosophy of Consolidation” will be held on Sept.17 and 18 at 10 am at EMRC auditorium in Manasagangothri.
The event has been organised by the Vivekananda Chair (established in 1996) at the Post-Graduate Department of Philosophy, Mysore University.
Dr. S.Venkatesh, Chairman of the Department and Prof V. N. Sheshagiri Rao, Visiting Professor, Swami Vivekananda Chair, said that the seminar would help specialists in the fields of Religion, Education, Science, Sociology, Psychology, History etc. Many experts from Ernakulam, Vishakhapatnam, Kuppam, Goa, Chennai, Dharwad, Bengaluru and Tumakuru are participating. The seminar is expected to evince great interest in the public in exploring Vivekananda’s approach to Religion in general and Humanism in particular. It will delve deep into various aspects of Vivekananda’s Philosophy.
