Natl. Consumers Rights Day: Awareness programme

Commemorating National Consumers Rights Day on Dec.24, Akhila Bharatiya Grahak Panchayat has organised an awareness programme on electricity from 10.30 am to 3 pm in front of Vishweshwaranagar Park, Main Road. CHESCom has taken various measures to decentralise its activities so that it can reach rural consumers. It has used Information and Technology to reach the consumers effectively. CHESCom has put Consumer Grievance Redressal Scheme and also has constituted Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum as per the requirements of the Electricity  Act 2013. The consumers will be made aware of their responsibilities with regard to metering, energy saving, safety issues, anti-theft laws, etc. Also, consumers can lodge complaints with the respective ESComs on issues and complaints.
