Mysuru: The Departments of Life Sciences, St. Philomena’s College, Mysuru and The Sustainability Platform (TSP), Asia, have jointly organised a two-day National Expert Seminar on the topic ‘Biodiversity Based Economy’ on Jan.4 and 5 in association with RMIT (Australia) at the College auditorium.
This Seminar is being organised in honour of Dr. Tien Huynh, an eminent STEM scientist from Australia, who will be visiting the College.
Eminent speakers and subject experts namely, Dr. Narasimhan, Member of Benefit sharing group, National Biodiversity Authority; Dr. Sukhpal Singh, Chairperson of Centre for Management in Agriculture (CMA), Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad; Dr. Sundaresan, Scientist-in-Charge, Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), Bengaluru and entrepreneurs K.P. Sunil, Eco-Health and Chinnappa, Aromatics Producer, will be addressing the sessions and will be conducting hands-on workshops as well.
The sessions will begin with inauguration and a keynote address by Dr. Tien Huynh who will be introduced by Lawrence Surendra, Chairman, TSP, Asia.
Teachers, researchers, UG & PG students, interested in Biodiversity may take part.
