Natl. Tech Paper Presentation winners

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), had organised a National-level Technical Paper presentation competition ‘CogNIEscience-2017’ recently.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Rupesh Roshan, Chief Tribologist, Klueber Lubrication, Mysuru.

CogNIEscience attracted about 76 technical papers from engineering students all over Karnataka as well as from neighbouring States.

Among  these, 58  papers  were  short-listed  for  presentation  in  five distinct streams namely Automotive Engineering, Design Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Production and Manufacturing Engineering and Post  Graduate stream.

The prizes to the winners were distributed by Dr. T.N. Shridhar, Controller of Examinations, NIE.

The ‘Best Paper’ award was bagged by N. Bharath and K.R. Chethan of NIE, Mysuru.

Manufacturing Engineering: 1. Manoj Kumar & Chinmaya, BMSITM, Bengaluru; 2. Kaushik Balasundar & Edwin Easo Mathew, CIT, Kodagu.

Automobile Engineering: 1. H.P. Manohar & Ranjith Kumar, Sri Sai Ram College of Engineering, Bengaluru; 2. Sumanth Kashyap & Srinivasan, Adichunchangiri Institute of Technology, Chikkamagaluru.

Post Graduate: 1. J. Pavithra, NIE, Mysuru, 2. S. Varshitha, NIE, Mysuru.

Best Paper among First Year Students: 1. S. Kumuda, NIE, Mysuru.
