Naxals sighted at Kakkabe

Madikeri: Three to four armed Naxalites have been sighted at Thadiyandamol Reserve Forest range in Kodagu today.

According to Anti-Naxal Force, four Naxals in their military fatigues visited the house of Aruna and Papuni of Yavakapadi village near Kakkabe at around 1 pm.

They took away a mobile phone owned by Aruna’s wife while rice and other rations were taken away from Papuni’s residence.

Following today’s sighting, the Anti-Naxal Force has intensified combing operations at Yavakapadi, Kakkabe, Bhagamandala, Talacauvery and Karike.
