NCC’s Combined Annual Training Camp to conclude today

Firing practice for the Republic Day Camp Contingent conducted at Chamundi Firing Practice Range in city.

Kar BN NCC Mysore is conducting a NCC Camp [Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) / Republic Day Camp (RDC)] from Oct.21 at Sri Chamaraja Ursu Boarding School, Mysuru, which will conclude today.

A total of 300 NCC Cadets from various Schools and Colleges of Mysore, Mandya, Hassan, Chikmagalur and Chamarajanagar districts  are participating in the camp. The Cadets are being trained for Republic Day Camp Inter Group competition to be held at NCC Directorate, Bengaluru.

During the opening address, Camp Commandant Col. Jagraj Singh impressed upon the necessity of discipline, secularism, communal harmony in their daily lives as students and future citizens.

Commandant Col. Jagraj Singh, who inaugurated the camp, is seen addressing the Cadets.

The Cadets are being trained in Drill, Map Reading, Tent Pitching, Health & Hygiene, Personality Development, Leadership qualities and related aspects required in Nation Building. Firing Practice for the Republic Day camp Contingent was also conducted at Chamundi Firing Practice Range.

Deputy Camp Commandant Lt. Col. R.B. Appanna also delivered a lecture-demonstration with the help of District authorities on traffic control, fire fighting and financial management.

Various activities for all-round development of the students with a sense of duty, commitment, dedication and moral values were carried out as part of the youth development movement.
