Need a cut on the cut-outs and posters

September 18, 2021

Sir,

Big, colourful cut-outs of politicians and their kin, glorifying their birthdays, or putting up huge posters to welcome leaders on any occasion, are common now.

Of late, the passion has multiplied and we now see colourful flex boards fluttering around everywhere on a regular basis, at prime areas like traffic signals and over the medians on the busy Highways. Such bigger than life-like cut-outs and banners divert the attention of motorists, causing accidents.

I appeal to all concerned to reduce their sizes and numbers, and help motorists and pedestrians have a safe movement. The concerned local bodies too can take action to regulate this menace.
