Neelaiah (68), a resident of the town passed away yesterday afternoon following brief illness. He leaves behind his wife, children including son Puttaraju, an advocate and Congress spokesperson, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed this afternoon in the town.
